I wake from a pleasant dream, the witch (Darkness is her Name,) busy with her potions smiles at the Wolf, half asleep beyond her massive, overladen table and her altar... Candles and bitter smoke, and the smell of herbs only she remembers. "Rise, come Hades," he raises his head at her words, stretches and is on his feet, out the door at her side. They disappear rapidly into the shadows beneath the great Oak trees. Another night in a better, albeit darker World... Their World.

On her blood she swore, to the Wolf at the door,
She swore... He would survive

For days the men pursued him through the dark forest
With their dogs... And their fire... And their guns
Through the wind and the snow, there was no place safe to go
All he could do was to run.
He found haven at her cottage door
She opened her door, it was warm inside
As she stroked his dark fur, he looked up at her
And the wolf saw no fear in her eyes.

Down her dark hallway, the wolf she led
Here the wolf would survive.

They call him a killer. He kills to survive
The wolf isn't evil. He's just alive.
The men in their anger and fear, burned down her home
